I really like wcurl, I am struggling to ship it by default in small
containers that currently do not have a shell.
wcurl implementation is quite compact because of the convenient things
that shell provides.
There was a rust rewrite https://github.com/curl/wcurl/pull/74
proposal, which is closed unmerged.
Is there interest to convert curl into a multi-call binary; such that
it can be symlinked as either wcurl or even wget; with wget style
argument parsing - and without shell dependency? Which I guess today
means it would have to be some compiled language implementation and
likely C.
