Hello,
I want us to drop support for c-ares < 1.16.0, and in March 2026 that is six
years since 1.16.0 was released. PR for this:
https://github.com/curl/curl/pull/18408
1.16.0 was the version that introduced ares_getaddrinfo() and it will allow us
to simplify asyn-ares.c quite a lot.
As always: if this is a problem for you: let us know.
