To be more precise 7z can handle a lot unpacking formats.

=> Unpacking only: APFS, AR, ARJ, CAB, CHM, CPIO, CramFS, DMG, EXT, FAT, GPT,
HFS, IHEX, ISO, LZH, LZMA, MBR, MSI, NSIS, NTFS, QCOW2, RAR, RPM, SquashFS, UDF,
UEFI, VDI, VHD, VHDX, VMDK, XAR and Z.

and a `7z i` shows what Format and Codecs supports the installed version.

So I would vote for 7z format.
