Thanks for the input. I sort of liked C because of the cleanliness but hiding
the menu by default gets really annoying and it seems to be generally agreed
by others too. I moved on from that. I also tried a version D with an extra
menu at the top, but it didn't change the general feeling.

I'm now experimenting with moving the menu to the top instead (called version
E) since I think it gives roughly the same "clean" feeling but without hiding
the menu AND it works really good on tiny screens at the same time.
