Yahoo (and probably others) implemented DMARC in a way that breaks mailing lists as we are used to. Unfortunately, they didn’t consider that and also don’t seem to be reversing these changes.

The IETF also ran into this:
"Yahoo breaks every mailing list in the world including the IETF’s"
