Exactly.

Not really, since the attribute is used for the comparison and this makes
sense if for example the output differs on different platforms. Like stdout
redirected to a file will differ between windows and unix...

I have no plans on changing software for revision control any time soon, so
that the autobuilds etc won't have to get changed. I think CVS is good enough
for our simple needs at this point in time.
