You've nailed it. The actual problem was there for ages, at least as
long as Tor's logs exist now days ;-)

And IRIX 6.2 MIPS C 6.2 n32 also has the same problem and is not
highlighting it because the linker warning starts with "ld32:" and not
just "ld:".
