This is the same problem I posted about before:

I've still not managed to repeat this problem on demand and it still happens
occationally. :-/

Not much more than what the error message tells: "(52) Empty reply from
server".

For some reason, curl wrongly believes the last request doesn't return
anything at all. I would guess that the bytecounter and headerbytecounter
don't get updated properly for this case, but I that's only a guess.
