No, I did not specify the shared option for OpenSSL. And ./configure
--with-ssl=/usr/local/ssl also returns 'OpenSSL libs and/or directories
were not found where specified!'.

I tried specifying the CPPFLAGS too, but nothing changes.

I don't understand why the directories are not found, when everything seems
to be ok with OpenSSL. The structure of the directory also looks fine...
