It sounds as if you have a network problem, or a server that cuts off your
connection prematurely.

So, it isn't curl's fault.

Well, if they do have some limit in any way, then it sounds as if it only
allows you to stay connected for a specific period of time. I can't see how
you can work around that, other than loggin on to a remote site with a faster
internet connection and download the file from there in the first step and
then from there to your place.
