I take back my initial comment regarding filtering cookie jars from 3rd
party cookies (those not sent back to the originating server).

If I would have thought a little more carefully, I would have realized
(duh!) that a 3rd party cookie would actually not do anything unless we
told curl to VISIT that 3rd party web site. Unlike normal web browsers
(which can have little images - called web bugs - implanted to allow
advertisers to collect their stats), curl doesn't automatically request
every embedded image, etc in a web page.
