$ nm -g /usr/lib/libcrypto.so | grep RAND_egd
00000000001086c3 T RAND_egd
00000000001086a3 T RAND_egd_bytes
And:
$ OpenSSL 1.1.1e
$ nm -g $HOME/tmp/lib/libcrypto.so | grep RAND_egd
$
So it looks like EGD is off by default in OpenSSL 1.1.1.
I prefer to avoid EGD in this case.
What do you suggest?
