You would probably do it one of two ways:
1 - ask for the content encoded "manually" without using
CURLOPT_ACCEPT_ENCODING. Just send the plain header yourself.
2 - Use CURLOPT_ACCEPT_ENCODING but switch off content decoding by setting
CURLOPT_HTTP_CONTENT_DECODING to 0.
