Well I've been too busy with other things, so the above will not be
possible. But I believe (hope) it will be possible before feature
freeze.

Let's start tearing the patch into pieces, so that things that could
be more problematic are discussed, if needed, without noise.

Costa, in the whole patch you get rid of Curl_addrinfo_copy(). Would
it be possible to get rid of Curl_addrinfo_copy() in current CVS
version without breaking anything? Could you provide a patch for this
single change? It would be committed right away if test suite passes
with it applied on my box.
