The documentation says that curl_global_init must be called with no
other threads running. Please clarify why this is necessary. Is this
restriction only relevant on certain operating systems? Specifically
does it apply to Linux and Open Solaris?
The documentation says that curl_global_init calls functions of other
libraries that are similarly thread unsafe. Which functions does it
call that are thread unsafe?
