I am pretty sure it would.
But since the new version does not fix the looping problem, we went back
to the old version that has gone thru our QA cycle already. I haven't
tested your solution yet. I will definitely do so in the next couple of
days and post the results.

But does my patch fix your problem? I haven't had time to write up a
test case
for this (since it is a bit complicated use-case) so I've not been able
to
repeat your problem nor verify this fix. All the tests in the test suite
run
fine with it applied though...
