I haven't reviewed the patch yet so it hasn't been applied or anything, I may
get back later with comments on it.

Could you write up a test case or something that proofs that the cookie share
is working with your patch applied? I want to add one to the test suite! I
figure you've run some kind of tests on this on your own?
