It's been making a lot of progress, if I'm not mistaken.
FreeBSD-current?
Actually OpenBSD is stealing a lot of stuff from FreeBSD because, well,
our threads are a mess atm. :-) (A lot of stuff in the ports tree
links against the pth port because of this.)
Our (i.e., OpenBSD's) current -curl port uses explicit
--disable-thread.
