libcurl time out issue
Date: Wed, 25 Mar 2009 11:34:08 +0530
Hi All
This problem is related to timeout of libcurl.
Description:
While downloading a file from a server (say server A) to an another
server (say server B), when download is in progress if we reboot server
A , server B which is in between the download operation don't get any
acknowledgement saying operation is stopped or aborted. So server B
waits infinitely and never comes out of the download operation.
The option which I thought is about CURLOPT_TIMEOUT, But this works if
the download operation takes longer duration than the time specified in
curl_easy_opt() with CURL_TIMEOUT as parameter then will abort the
operation right.
Is there any option to abort the operation when the remote machine goes
down?
Any comments appreciated
operating system: Linux 3 2.6.11-1.1369_FC4
version of curl: 4.1.1

Anoop.
