Yeah, I'm leaning towards something like this myself. I just can't get some
stuff added to curl without violating some of the rules I myself have worked
to enforce.

Ideally, we would build the Mega one based on code used for the normal curl to
optimize code re-use. Possibly we could even name such a child 'murl' ...

My current desire to "play" with Metalink could possibly work as some kind of
groundwork for such a thing to get born in the future.

Oh, and another idea that has popped up more than once in the past and that
doesn't quite fit into curl is bittorrent support. It has similarities with
metalink in how it first downloads a file and then gets N streams of data from
different places, and metalink itself can even take advantage of bittorrent
downloads (afair)...

Well, first things first. I'll take Tatsuhiro's latest patch for a spin as
soon as possible and see what fun it'll lead me to!
