I don't see such a patch, as I thought we were still discussing how that could
be improved due to the problems it had. But the author seems to have vanished.

I figure you could use if not the exact same patch, a similar one.

I'm interested in getting this feature supported by (lib)curl. I just have
"some" other work in the pipe already: http://daniel.haxx.se/now.html
