Hmmm, OK. After installing the appropriate root certificate from
www.geotrust.com curl works again with members.dyndns.org. Though, I'm
still wondering whether my other tools (Mozilla, links, wget) have that
one installed or whether they simply don't check the cert. Also OpenSSL
has surely the most cryptic error messages ever.
