Question about determining expiration date of intermediate certif icates using curl

I have a need to determine the expiration date of an intermediate CA
certificate using curl. For example, if you run 'curl -v
https://www.somesite.com <https://www.somesite.com/> ', you get (as an
example):

* SSL connection using RC4-MD5
* Server certificate:
* subject: /C=US/ST=Rhode Island/L=Johnston/O=FleetBoston
Financial/OU=Corporate Information Security Group/OU=Terms of use at
www.verisign.com/rpa (c)00/CN=www.fleetapply.com
* start date: 2003-11-20 00:00:00 GMT
* expire date: 2004-11-19 23:59:59 GMT
* common name: www.fleetapply.com (matched)
* issuer: /O=VeriSign Trust Network/OU=VeriSign, Inc./OU=VeriSign
International Server CA - Class 3/OU=www.verisign.com/CPS Incorp.by Ref.
LIABILITY LTD.(c)97 VeriSign

The expiration date of the server's certificate is shown, but the issuer's
intermediate certificate start/expire dates are not displayed. Is there a
way to do this?
