Odd. I tried the exact same thing, using 7.10.8-pre5 and OpenSSL/0.9.6b and it
works for me. May I suggest you try upgrading OpenSSL and then retry? In fact,
even my old curl 7.8 groks it fine. Even 7.10.7 with OpenSSL/0.9.6b works for
me. (All these three tests ran on Linux.)
