I can't imagine this would be *THAT* much slower!

One thing about FTP that gets me - the path is relative to where you logged in, rather than the "root" of the server. So, CWD a/b/c could be different from CWD /a/b/c.

If I wanted to specify the latter (CWD /a/b/c), how would I go about doing so with curl? Is it ftp://server//a/b/c?
