Summary: Curl hangs randomly ...

Initial Comment:
Hi,

I run curl as a cron job to help test an http port to see if
the port is still servicing requests however on a
completly random baisis curl will hang and never
complete running. The hang and the times that it will
hang appears to be completly random. Please note
that I run curl from a ksh script.

Curl Information:
curl 7.10.3 (sparc-sun-solaris2.9) libcurl/7.10.3 zlib/1.1.3

Command that runs:
curl --connect-timeout 3 -D ./header.out http://
$webchkhost > /dev/null 2>&1
