-- Daniel Stenberg -- curl, cURL, Curl, CURL. Groks URLs. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Tue, 4 Feb 2003 15:53:48 -0500 From: Rich Lichvar <rlichvar_at_knowledgemax.com> To: "Curl Users List (E-mail)" <curl-users-admin_at_lists.sourceforge.net> Subject: cURL/OpenSSL/HTTPS I'm running RH 7.3 and need to get cURL working so I can use Big Brother to check for HTTPS being up on a couple of web sites. I've compiled the latest cURL distribution a couple of different times trying to use --with-ssl and pointing to the OpenSSL library (appears to be in /usr/lib for our installation); however, when I try to use cURL on an HTTPS I get an error message that the client doesn't support HTTPS sites. Help! This is very critical for me. (Also, I'm still somewhat of a newbie in Linux.)
