Summary: 7.10.x SSL Win32 cannot work with https

Initial Comment:
Hello,
     I compiled cURL v7.10.1 with SSL successfully using
MinGW 2.0 (GCC 3.2). BTW, the version of ZLIB is 1.1.4
and the OpenSSL's version is 0.9.6g.

     However, the executable file cannot work using https
protocol. For example, it cannot download the file as
shown in the following URL.
https://images.sourceforge.net/head_bg_new.gif

The error message is:
-------------------
* SSL: error:14090086:SSL
routines:SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE:certificate
 verify failedcurl: (35) SSL: error:14090086:SSL
 routines:SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE:certificate
verify failed
-------------------

     I tried to use pre-compiled cURL v7.10 for Win32
with SSL support to do the same job. Unfortunately, both
http://curl.haxx.se/download/curl-7.10-win32-ssl.zip and
http://curl.haxx.se/download/curl-7.10-win32-ssl-devel-
mingw32.zip failed to work using https protocol.

     Finally, I compiled cURL v7.9.8 with SSL myself using
MinGW 2.0 (GCC 3.2). The OpenSSL's version is still
0.9.6g. The executable file of v7.9.8 DOES work when
using https protocol.

     I guess that cURL v7.10.x with SSL support for Win32
has a bug.

P.S. I have to use Squid proxy server when using http
and https protocol in my network environment.
