curl only supports doing FTP over SSL for the control connection, the data
connection is done the "standard" un-encrypted way.

Yes, I am very interested in patches and improvements that'll make curl use
the recently more complete standards on how to do "secure FTP". Don't count
on me doing much in that area myself in the nearest future.
