Please see attached for the errors I'm seeing building multi.c under
cygwin. On this same machine:
 o 7.9.4 builds fine
 o -pre1 builds fine
 o -pre2 (with the added config.h.in file) doesn't build
   (same problem as -pre3)

Can anyone tell what's going on from this output? If I can do anything
to help troubleshoot, I'll be glad to run something for you.
