HTTPS in Curl - server certificate

Hello,
Im newbie in shining world of Curl (and also OpenSSL).
Could anyone help - is it possible to dump public server certificate during
connecting via Curl https? Am I suppose to use some function of curl or is
it necessary to use OpenSSL?
