Summary: curl aborts on wide terminals, when drawing progress-bar

Initial Comment:
On Mac OS X 10.7.1, when using terminal window of 263 columns or more. If bash is used, make sure to have "shopt -s checkwinsize" enabled.

Command to use:

/usr/bin/curl -vf#L https://github.com/defunkt/gist/tarball/v2.0.3 -o tmp.tgz

Expected result: file downloads fine

Actual result: Program Aborts
