Summary: HTTP_EXPECT is sent with file uploads

Initial Comment:
I wrote a PHP script to upload files to a form. I kept getting the error code 417, Expectation Failed. I am guessing this is caused by the HTTP_EXPECT = 100-continue header that is being sent by curl.

Neither IE of Firefox send this header when doing form file uploads. While most servers do not care about it, this particular server won't work with it.

I tried to turn it off with curl_setopt, but it wouldn't let me, it includes it as soon as files are added to the post vars.

This is not a bug, this is by design. If you want to discuss changing the
default on this, then please send your reasoning to the curl-library
mailing list and we can discuss it.

IMHO, browsers _should_ send it and most servers do "care" about in the
way that they support it. And libcurl offers an easy way to disable it.

PS, curl_setopt() is PHP, not the libcurl API
