Re: http2 stream dependency observation

I still couldn't get the same connection to be reused with or without
pipe-wait. But with minor update in lib/url.c, I could at-least verify the
behavior for both pipe-wait and without. With pipe-wait is something I
don't see useful for our application - it resembles HTTP/1.1 behavior.
Without pipe-line, I did following change to verify this(apologies as i
couldn't get clear diff):
static CURLcode create_conn(struct Curl_easy *data,
struct connectdata **in_connect,
bool *async)
{
...
if(reuse && !force_reuse && IsPipeliningPossible(data, conn_temp)) {
size_t pipelen = conn_temp->send_pipe.size + conn_temp->recv_pipe.size;
if(pipelen > 0) {
infof(data, "Found connection %ld, with requests in the pipe
(%zu) a:%d b:%d c:%d d:%d\n",
conn_temp->connection_id, pipelen,
Curl_conncache_bundle_size(conn_temp),
max_host_connections, Curl_conncache_size(data), max_total_connections);
*if (!(IsPipeliningPossible(data, conn_temp) &
CURLPIPE_MULTIPLEX)) { // Temporary check to verify*
if(Curl_conncache_bundle_size(conn_temp) < max_host_connections &&
Curl_conncache_size(data) < max_total_connections) {
/* We want a new connection anyway */
reuse = FALSE;
infof(data, "We can reuse, but we want a new connection anyway\n");
Curl_conncache_return_conn(conn_temp);
}
}
}
}
...
}
Basically this temporary change (*if (!(IsPipeliningPossible(data,
conn_temp) & CURLPIPE_MULTIPLEX))*) would skip this check for HTTP/2. With
this temporary change, I could verify that same connection would be re-used
upto max concurrent streams support by server, post which new connection
was created, subsequent requests would re-use existing connections based on
the slot available.
If someone could provide some comment on this, it would be really helpful.
Thanks Daniel for supporting with this earlier.
Thanks
