In a Windows prompt, not having make is the first problem.
And the expected build location (../src/bin) is another problem,
As curl.exe is in different location, when using winbuild makefiles.

My UNIX/Linux tests went (almost) fine, so I rely on the quality there...
(and my own tests on Windows).
