The new type was just my idea to explicitly set the realm aware digest
authentication method. Of course it should be enough to set the realm in
combination with the existing curlauth_digest authentication. This is also
what I meant with the comment: Alternatively, the realm aware
authentication could be implicitly set when the REALM parameter is set. So,
for me it sounds very good and also easy to use.

Would it be possible to give a rough estimate of the implementation?
