I've built it on a couple of weird architectures, but always two's complement.
Wikipedia gives a pretty short list of one's complement architectures: PDP-1,
CDC 160 series, CDC 6000 series, UNIVAC 1100/2200, and none that seem to have
been introduced within the last 40 years.
