Diffing missing here on FreeBSD shows the same. The system-wide missing file is
more recent as the one from the repo. Maybe buildconf should instruct GNU autoconf
to copy a recent version to the repo dir rather than maintaining a local version?

As far as I know, automake should copy that by default.

I had very similar issues with Cyrus SASL recently and wasted days to make the
autoconf build right.
