about CURLE_COULDNT_CONNECT

I use multi socket to download picture!
however,when use a url to download, I met an error indicate CURLE_COULDNT_CONNECT £¬and I open this url in google chrome, and it could be opened.
I do not get any clue from this error code, is there any method to tell me how to locate the error.
socket create failure? or connect function failure ?
