I suspect pipelining is not a widely used feature. Perhaps the few people that
use it either having found the problems, running on platforms/servers where it
doesn't get exposed or they are stuck on older versions?

I've not yet been able to look into your recipe. I've had my plate full lately
but I hope to get around to it soon.
