There shouldn't be. There are a few (marked with the "non-existing host"
keyword) that depend on DNS not being insane (not necessarily resolving,
but not returning bogus data, either). The test suite is run in a number of
automated build systems that are firewalled from the Internet at large for
security purposes, and it is designed to work in that kind of environment.
That also prevents it from hammering live servers by automated build systems
gone amok.
