Could you evaluate the possibility of releasing an
out-of-normal-release-cycle 7.28.2 version immediately before the
always-multi merge that will ship with 7.29.0?

Even if we don't ever look back again to the time before the new
always-multi kingdom, having done an official 7.28.2 release may be
useful at some point down the road. Although, at this moment, I don't
have a strong opinion on either doing this or not.
