That's a good idea, but what about the general SSPI restructuring that
people asked for first?

And for version information my patch still depends on version.lib,
which was discussed earlier.

These are not directly objections, but I just wanted to raise them
before you merge the code.
On the other hand: Those things should not break existing code and can
be squashed out later.
