Indeed, cURL is not the right tool for receiving RTP data in general.
It only speaks RTSP.

cURL's RTSP stack does support receiving interleaved RTP data (see
CURLOPT_INTERLEAVEFUNCTION). But, note that interleaving carries
negative performance characteristics.
