[Patch] Progress callback, avoid printing the last update on a separate line

Hi fellow hackers,
I forged this patch to correct an issue mentioned on this mailing list
some time ago [1].
I have tested it with curl and did not find any problem. However I am
not 100% sure if there is no downside in my approach (for example, the
pgrsDone can be called several times under some conditions). If
somebody could just assess if this change looks sane, I would go ahead
and commit it.
