well, its no problem that I provide the patches mentioned as one file
which you can easily apply with *one* command to your libcurl source.
Yes, I would like a patch file that I could apply to the source ! OR,
if there is a link for me to download the actual libcurl.lib built from the
C source, I would also appreciate that. Then, I could simply link it with
my other libs, and start testing with Curl
However if I were you I would consider a switch to a more modern
compiler like MinGW32 or OpenWatcom which are both free too and actively
maintained, and which are both sufficient for compiling a fully featured
libcurl; Borland C++ 5.5 is more than 10 years old, and so are the
headers; and binaries compiled with it will always lack features like
LDAP v3 support, IPv6, and most likely other stuff too.
In our group of a few thousand active users of xHarbour (and the original
Harbour language), most people are using BCC 5.5.1, and some have migrated
up to BCC 5.8, but not many. The 20 or so 'gurus' in our newsgroup are not
typical of many of us. I'm certainly *not* a guru.
The fact that I use xHarbour as a CGI executable for two of my web
sites (_www.mesaeastpark.com_ (http://www.mesaeastpark.com) and
_www.frostdelay.com_ (http://www.frostdelay.com) ) is *very* untypical. Usually the
harbour language is used for database business apps (which I use to make my
living with before I retired). However, being an old guy, I'm fearful of too
many changes at once. And things have been going along nicely for two years
now.
Even *thinking* of using libcurl was a big step for me. (Before I was
testing/using an instance of IE7 (oIE:navigate(cSomeWebsite) ) as a method
of gathering info form secondary sites). But, I was told on the
Javascript ng to drop IE7, and stsrt using Curl. That was a week or so ago.
So, I don't you what to do now ...

... :(
I would then also ask if there is nobody who can provide binaries for
one of the above mentioned compilers; or you can even try to compile
For the last few years, I've been using the binaries developed by the
leaders of my guru pack. I've lost most of my capability for that
development work
I'm sorry to frustrate you and waste your time. But, If you have a
C-based binary (i.e., libcurl.lib) available that can Get, Post, Receive,
Send with no SSL, and not much else, I would be very grateful. Even a patch
file would be a good solution.
I really don't want to return to using an instance of IE on my Apache
Server to go to to the secondary server.
Thank you for your comments and suggestions.
