Yes, I'm considering something like that.

As the download page is fairly user-oriented, should it perhaps rather focus
on what protocols and features that are enabled rather than used rather than
underlying stuff such as SSL or SSH?

Of course, adding up all 20 protocols and 8 features might not be really
feasable either...
