Because anaconda/yum developers are busy guys and they refuse to wait till
the download is finished.

Right, that is what RF959 says.

It does not solve the following case:
3) > ABOR
< 226 File send OK.
< 225 No transfer to ABOR.
I would be reluctant to continuously adjust our ABOR handling rules, so that
they cope with more and more buggy FTP server implementations. We need to
figure out something more generic I guess.

Is there actually any other FTP client successfully providing such a feature?
I would be happy to look at its code...
