I have been trying to get Curl into a JNI project on Android for a spell now
and could use some assistance.

I am using Ubuntu 9.10, Android 1.5 (3 is the non-marketing-speak platform
number) and NDK 1.6. There is some documentation for building Curl with NDK
1.5 as an external component to the entire framework, but I am trying to get
a build going as a shared (or static) library for a JNI application which is
the preferred method for using the NDK nowadays.

If anyone familiar with building Curl from source would like to help I would
be happy to share back detailed documentation to the community. Perhaps we
could email offline and I could post back a summary.

Based on the many unanswered Android related postings I think this could
help a lot of folks out.

If this is an inappropriate question for this list, I apologize, please let
me know.
