Ignore all of that. I don't know what made me think of it, but I suddenly realised after sending the last e-mail that my static method "OnDataRead" wasn't declared static in the class definition, even though I was passing it by a static reference to curl_setopt - wonder why the compiler let me get away with that?

I've declared that method static and tried it again and it's working fine.
